Lunch like a local during Food Truck Tuesdays

Where to eat in Colorado Springs

Food Truck

If you’re trying to decide where to eat in Colorado Springs for a quick lunch, there’s no better choice than a food truck. Most days, tracking down one of these increasingly popular mobile meal machines takes time and patience, the opposite of what you wish for when craving a midday bite on-the-go! Yet after its successful 10-week pilot run in 2017, Food Truck Tuesdays at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is back for a second season! And for 2018, it has expanded to 25 weeks!

From May 15 through October 30, plan on spending your Tuesday lunch-hour with almost 1,000 other hungry patrons right outside of the Pioneers Museum on South Tejon Street. From 11:00AM to 1:30PM, twelve of the most popular local food trucks will be serving up their diverse fare. Some perennial favorites include Potato Potato (serving up inventive fare using French Fries) and Patty’s Gourmet Hamburgers (whom freshly ground their beef daily). And what Tuesday lunch menu would be complete without some tacos, provided weekly by Sapo Guapo Tacos!

Things to do in Colorado Springs

The food truck fare is not the only reason these lunchtime liaisons have become one of the top things to do in Colorado Springs weekly. At 1:00PM, the City of Colorado Springs sponsor free weekly museum tours entitled “Windows into History.” Feed your stomach and mind at the same time by taking this chance to learn more about the great history of our city.

Hotels in Colorado Springs

Being one of the top hotels in Colorado Springs and located a few blocks away from the museum, The Antlers supports this initiative to boost pride in our city and interest in our local small businesses. Once the food trucks depart, if you are still craving some midday munchies, come on over to Sportivo Primo or The Piccadilly Bar for some extra foodie fun!
