Learn about Colorado’s rich history at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum.
Exhibits will take you on a cultural adventure where you’ll learn about Pikes Peak ascents, the area’s first inhabitants and early settlers, important historical figures, art, the natural surroundings, and more.
The Pioneers Museum in Colorado Springs is open Tuesdays – Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is totally free!
Members of the museum get special perks that aren’t available to non-members. To become a member, you can fill out and submit their online membership form along with your chosen membership level fee.
Children’s History Hour is a fun time to hear stories about Colorado’s natural world and its past. Upcoming November tales will focus on the beaver and how it impacts its environment.
Fall Family Fun Days will be held on November 22 – 23 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Learn about Thanksgiving’s history and enjoy crafts, interactive exhibits, story time, and guided tours.
Festival of Lights is the museum’s free celebration of the holiday season on December 3. Starting at 10 a.m., there will be performances, crafts, face painting, balloon art, a parade, and free cookies and hot cocoa.
Join a Windows into History Tour on Saturdays at 12 p.m. It’s a free, 30-minute tour that highlights favorite stories and objects in the museum’s collection.
